Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are your hours?
A: These do change by season. Check the hours page.

Q: I don't remember what I'm supposed to do?
A: Anytime you don't recall what the doctor said is the right time to call for a reminder.  If the instructions were not clear enough, or confusing, let us help. We want you to get better.

Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: Probably.  But the list does change so verify with us or your carrier. Most carriers have web sites like ours that list provider networks in your area.  We also participate with many out-of-state networks through our list of carriers.

Q: Do you take cash-pay patients?
A: Yes. We ask that you pay by cash or approved credit card at the time of your appointment.  We offer a discount from our posted charges for same-day payment. See below for acceptable forms of payment.

Q: Can I see a doctor today?
A: If you are a registered patient, and you call before 10am, your chances are good if you can be flexible about scheduling.  We do not make appointments until registration paperwork is received and insurance participation is processed. The forms required can be downloaded here on this website and faxed to us.

Q: I have received a bill. Why?
A: Medical insurance is often confusing. You may have received a bill because your carrier paid only part, or none, of the bill.  You may also be subject to a co-pay or deductible that must be met before your carrier pays. Bills are always rendered to you the patient, but as a courtesy, we do submit to carriers on your behalf if we participate with that carrier.  We will submit a bill on your behalf only twice. After two submissions, we require payment from you and will provide you with the necessary forms to collect payment from your carrier. This helps us keep costs down.  Refer also to the pages on policies for more information or call us.

Q: What if I can't pay my bill?
A: Please let us know as soon as you can. We do understand that sometimes circumstances don't cooperate. We may be able to set up a payment arrangement. However, we will send your account to our collection attorney if we don't hear from you within 60 days.  This keeps our costs low.

Q: I don't have insurance.  Can I still see a doctor?
A: Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover cards.  We also accept cash and checks via telecheck.  Payment is made prior to seeing the doctor.  See also the section on policies and then download the forms to register.

Q: I need a blood test.
A: No problem, we can draw your labs right in the office.  Lab hours vary so we recommend you call ahead. We also perform allergy administration with vaccines supplied by your allergist.

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We offer family medicine services normally offered in a family practice setting.  These include looking after chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma  and hypertension, as well as acute things like colds and flu's, minors office surgeries, stitches, vaccinations, etc.

Our practice offers comprehensive wellness programs, including PAPs, birth control, yearly physicals, sports physicals etc.  We do not presently perform FAA physicals in our office.  We offer all CDC recommended vaccinations for children and adults. We do not carry travel vaccinations.

We accept patients of all ages including newborns.

Q: Do you accept Medicare?
A: Yes. We accept both Medicare and some forms of Medicaid.
